it is not possible to map a button to the trigger button on the Vive controller despite an existing suitable input component. Even some exising ones are now ignored, e.g. So mappings to arbitary non-existing buttons will not work. This may also be related to the same reason /u/DiThi is having problems with the camera when his NaLo driver is present. Also I can only map a button to another button for which an input component already exists. I've had my own build environment for it for some time, so I'll probably poke around at it a bit and try to find out if I find something, I'll definitely report back. So there's something input emulator is doing that is causing the camera to fail on newer builds of SteamVR, and I'm not sure what yet. I uninstalled OpenVR Input Emulator and only OpenVR Input Emulator, and my camera came back. I went through the SteamVR settings menu, to Applications, and disabled the overlay applications for everything - no dice. So I forced SteamVR to boot in safe mode, and. I've tried the new beta branch that addressed camera issues tonight. I've been both on the normal and beta branches since the motion smoothing update, and my camera has not functioned since. I've been struggling to get my camera working since the motion smoothing update that also broke Input Emulator, and I've come to share my findings since I see a lot of people with broken cameras and only some of them getting it fixed with the suggestions being made and the update that released earlier this evening to the beta branch.įor the TL DR crowd: If you're currently using a build of OpenVR Input Emulator that is working with SteamVR after the motion smoothing update (like the one from /u/sharkyh20) and having an issue where your camera isn't working, it's probably OpenVR Input Emulator causing the problem.įor people who want to know how I arrive at that conclusion: I've tried reinstalling SteamVR.
